Craft Gossip

Imagine if the jewelry you wore on Valentine’s day could actually help African women working their way out of extreme poverty? Well you don’t have to imagine it -  Nonprofit BeadforLife offers it.   They have Valentines Day-colored bracelets, necklaces, chokers, and other jewelry (also other colors too)  that are handmade by Ugandan women who are escaping poverty and a bloody Civil War. They turn colorful recycled paper into beautiful beads.  The beads are then sold, which in turn become a source of income-food, medicine, education and most importantly-HOPE.

For more information about all the good that BeadforLife does,  check the website.  All Valentines orders must be placed by Feb 9 in order to be received by Valentine’s Day.
