If you haven’t already bought your copy of Metal Magic by Kim St. Jean, now is your chance to win one! The beautiful pendant on the cover called “Fired Lace” is just one of Kim’s luscious enameled projects in this book. I haven’t tried enameling yet but Kim’s imaginative and texture-rich projects make me want to try. The colors are beautiful, too. In addition to enameling, Kim will teach you to pierce, rivet, and etch metal. Combing these techniques, the projects achieve a mixed-media, collage feel that is really appealing.
Take a look at Kim’s gallery to see more of her gorgeous metal work.

I haven’t done a lot with metal other then wire wrapping but I am fascinated by enameling.
I just learned to solder so that it my favorite right now. If I get this book I am sure it will become enameling.
My favorite technique is wire wrapping.
Right now (’cause it {will} change, ’cause I’m sure someone will come out with yet another innovative technique!!!), it’s brazing and texturing. I’d love to get into enameling, but I’ve already spent an obscene amount of $$ on brazing equipment and metals!!
I don’t have a favorite metal working technique YET, but I would love to learn to weld/solder.
I love texturing metal at the moment… but when it comes to metal.. I love all of the techniques. Metal is awesome!
welding is my favorite!!
My mother and I LOVE to make jewelery and such. We mainly just use beads and random metal center pieces we find at crafting stores. This would totally add a personal touch to our jewelery making and be way more fun than just adding random pieces. This would be so awesome to win. Love it!
So far my favorite has been embossing designs on thin metal with a stylus and creating art from those pieces. Love mixed media. I also make art from different guages of wire which may or may not be considered metal. I would love to do some soldering, learn other techniques to make jewelry and other mixed media pieces and this book looks wonderful! I would be thrilled to be able to brag about my newest creations and of course give credit to Kim & Metal Magic!
I haven’t done much with metal but I would love to learn!!
I’m really loving the textured look of hammering. That’s my favorite right now.
It may sound strange, but I love sawing thru sheets of silver or copper. I would so love to learn to enamel and etch, since I feel these would add alot of character/interest to my pieces. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I don’t have one really since I have not worked with metal before. I would love to learn. But would love to win to get some inspiration to start learning.
I am just starting to be able to work with metal, but love the look of enameled, custom design shaped, stamping…

I love soldering!!
I’ve been wanting to learn about working with metals! I collected a bunch or interesting old scrap from a civil war era dig that they didn’t want.
Right now my favorite technique is creating texture on metal. I use a hammer with 9 different texture heads and love seeing what the different heads do. Texture plates are fun too!
I have been using metal wire to wrap beads for pendants but I would love to learn more techniques.
I would love to try something new!
Have not tried this yet but would love to win this and learn how.
I am pretty new to metal working, but I want to try ALL of the amazing techniques!
Congratulations! You are the winner
Nothing ventured nothing learned! I live working with metals! Love to learn more.
