cover art of Making Wire Jewelry and Contemporary Cube Bead DesignsKalmbach Books is giving you a chance to win a copy of two of their exciting new titles: Contemporary Cube Bead Designs by Virginia Jensen and The Absolute Beginners Guide: Making Wire Jewelry from Martine Callaghan!

Contemporary Cube Bead Designs will teach you ladder stitch, herringbone, step stitch, and other stitches with 29 fun projects. Working with flat beads, many of these projects have a smooth, supple texture. Mixing other bead shapes into the projects, Virginia creates interesting three-dimensional pieces that have a less rhythmic texture but lots of visual appeal. Master these techniques with Virginia and you’ll be crafting really exquisite finished pieces like the ones featured in this book, too.

Making Wire Jewelry from Kalmbach’s Absolute Beginners Guide series will have you creating gorgeous wire jewelry in a jiffy. This book truly tells you everything you need to know to get started! With 29 detailed projects and ideas for variations, there’s no end to the creative places Martine can guide you as you begin working with wire.

To enter for a chance to win both fabulous books, leave a comment telling me your favorite Kalmbach Book titles. The giveaway ends April 22, 2012. Sorry, this giveaway is open to US mailing addresses only.

    My two absolute favorites
Soldering Made Simple now available with DVD- must have for anyone who wants to solder. I was soldering before I got the book and DVD but if I had had it when I began a few months ago the learning curve would not have been so steep. I keep this book close and before I solder a new design always refresh my memory!
Spotlight On Wire- I just got a month or so ago. I love this book. I make my own patterns for my rolling mill and this book caught my interest immediately.
One of the things I Love about the book and author is all the alternatives she offers so anyone can make the designs using household tools. The directions are easy to follow with a lot of pictures and as mentioned alternative ways and ideas for the projects. If you like patterned metal..this s a book you will love.
