I am constantly looking for ways to utilize “non traditional” things as jewelry. I find the challenge of using something like paper or felt rather than metal to make a ring or wearable piece, really helps fire my creativity. When I’m having a creative block, I’ll pick up something and say ” how many ways can I use this other than its intended purpose”.
Fibre and Stitch put up a pdf on how to make a layered fabric charm. Fabric charms are quite easy to too, and will definately make your work more unique. Look around and see what you can do with things that you wouldn’t normally associate with jewelrymaking. I’d love to see what you come up with!
