Make and Takes’s blog has a great scrabble tile pendant tutorial by Mark and Stefani from HomeStudio. It has great photos and is so easy, you’ll spend a day whipping up a ton of them! You can also purchase pendants with HomeStudio’s one of a kind designs at their Etsy shop.

This isn’t really a comment, it’s more of a question. I have been trying to find an answer to a problem I’m having making Scrabble Tile pendants, but have run out of luck. After applying the Diamond Glaze and letting it dry i have a noticeable dip in the center of my tiles. I have tried re-glazing, starting with more glaze and a slight “mound” in the center, and less glaze, but am still ending up with the same results. From what I can tell from other pictures they should be flat with rounded edges. I have read multiple tutorials and have followed them precisely. Would you happen to have any suggestions on how to avoid these results? I love these tiles and am very disappointed with the results so far. Thank you.

The cause of the center dip is a result of using to much glaze on the first coat. Try using a very thin layer, “Very Thin” First trace the outside and then fill in the center but always thin.
