I have to admit, I am picky about beading. I mean that I am very picky about my own beading skills, which never seem quite polished enough. So you can imagine how blown away I was to find the work of Charlotte Hosten a Belgian born jeweler and designer who now creates her work in Montreal.
Wow! She creates stunning, intricate work which is rich with layers of found, new and reused elements mounted on lush and robust fabrics.
I had a hard time picking only two to show here. But I love, love, love this necklace titled “sari accra” made of pieces of sari, vintage rings, semi-precious stones and swarovski elements. It is just so beautiful.
Other wonderful pieces include necklaces with high shirt collars such as the one pictured below.
