Help Re-Stash a Crafter affected by the Victorian Bush Fires

February 27, 2009 by Barbe Saint John

Help those affected by the Victorian Brushfires, by making a kit of supplies via Handmade Help website.

There will be a lot of crafters out there who have lost the means to craft, who will be starting from scratch and need their craft more than ever while they cope with the stress of rebuilding their lives.

Jewelry artists are included too, and I know we all have extra’s to spare. For example, you could put together a bag of beads, a spool of beadalon wire & crimps, or spool of wire, some findings and maybe a pair of pliers. Or for the beadworkers puting together bags of seedbeads, beading thread and bead needles would make a nice kit.   Polymer clay, metalworking supplies, etc…I’m sure there’s a need for any jewelry supply you have to donate.

On the re-stash a crafter post, you will find all the info to mail or drop off your supplies (in Australia) as well as some other ideas to help.  I’ll be putting together a package this weekend.
